LESLEY MCKIMM

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Lesley McKimm has worked in the Film & TV industry for 25 years, 21 years of that as an independent producer. Prior to joining Playground, she spent 5 years as a Project Manager with Screen Ireland where she Exec Produced over 30 feature films and 20 documentaries. Feature film highlights at Screen Ireland include Herself (director Phyllida Lloyd), Deadly Cuts (writer/director Rachel Carey), Extra Ordinary (writer/directors Enda Loughman and Mike Aherne), and the documentaries Pure Grit (director Kim Bartley), Nothing Compares (director Kathryn Ferguson) and Katie (director Ross Whitaker). 

She was a Producer with Newgrange Pictures and Comet Films before that – working across feature film, TV drama and documentary. Credits include My Name is Emily (Wri/Dir Simon Fitzmaurice with Kennedy Films), the documentary It’s Not Yet Dark (dir Frankie Fenton), the TV drama series Whistleblower (Exec producing for Saffron Pictures) & Any Time Now, and the international co-productions The King’s ChoiceThe Last KingCall Girland A Thousand Times Goodnight

She is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin where she studied Drama & English, EAVE and the Media Business School. She served on the board of Screen Ireland from 2005 to 2012 and is a founding member of Women in Film & TV Ireland.
