Playground is an award-winning television, theatre, and film production company that sits at the intersection of Hollywood and the UK market.

On screen

In television we have produced nearly 200 hours of premium drama for the BBC, Sky, Channel 4, Channel 5, MGM+, Masterpiece, BritBox, Paramount+ and Peacock, including Wolf Hall, The Missing, The Undeclared War, Howards End and King Lear. This autumn, our re-imagining of Treasure Island, starring David Oyelowo, Hayley Atwell and Jack Huston, premieres October 11 on MGM+ and Paramount+. Maigret returns to Masterpiece on PBS for its second series on October 18, and All Creatures Great & Small is back on Channel 5 for a seventh series from September 17. Lynley returns to BBC One and BritBox in early 2027, and Up To No Good, a new crime thriller starring Glenn Close, is in production for Channel 4 and Sony Pictures Television.

On stage

On stage we are lead producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, winner of multiple Tony and Olivier Awards and now in its tenth year of productions around the world. Our earlier stage work includes Tom Hanks's Broadway debut in Nora Ephron's Lucky Guy and Dear Evan Hansen.
