Set in London in the early 1930s, this original miniseries follows a group of Black jazz musicians whose rise to stardom is interrupted when its members become entangled in a murder conspiracy.
Amid the extraordinary social change of 1930s Britain, The Louis Lester Band finds success performing at a series of elite social gatherings hosted by London’s aristocratic society, including members of the royal family. Just at the height of their fame, a terrible event overtakes them, and tests the limits of their patrician benefactors’ support.
